I became interested in creating and enabling imaginative & exploratory experiences for early years (EY) children (5 yrs & under) in 2011 and was awarded a study grant by Small Size https://www.smallsize.org , European Network for the Diffusion of Performing Arts for Early Childhood, to develop concepts for Three Colours of Light.

 

This study grew from wanting a change of direction in my practice involving an exploration of sensory worlds and imaginary landscapes animated by the colours red, green & blue, working with multidisciplinary artists, nursery children, practitioners and parents.

 

I wanted to explore the possibilities of creating & offering theatre & creative experiences inspired by young children’s perspectives and interactions with the world.
